Providing interactive experiences with full orchestra is a key feature of our education work but in addition to workshops and performances with chamber or symphony orchestra, English Classical Players provides a full range of educational services, including talks, masterclasses with principal players and creative workshops in schools.

We are happy to custom build projects to suit particular requirements. Current projects involve the creation of a series of concerts aimed at family participation and a series of discover the classics workshops based on well-known pieces.

Existing workshops divide into two main areas:

Performance Experiences

Good Vibrations and Sonic Signposts workshops are primarily performance experiences aimed at increasing awareness, understanding and enjoyment of orchestral music.

Feedback from previous clients suggests that these events provide a high level of enjoyment, provoke considerable interest and that knowledge and understanding gained through these workshops are retained to great effect.

Creative Experiences

Creating Soundworlds workshops provide direct creative experiences for participants. Available in both composition and conducting these workshops take place over a more sustained period leading to final performance of work produced.

Feedback from previous projects has directly linked this work to improved examination grades.
